Reflect on your day so far – what tasks did you complete?
You likely brushed your teeth, fueled your body with food, checked email and conversed with a loved one. You might have met with a colleague or a potential client, or brainstormed the process for your next project. Maybe you dropped the kids at school and gulped down coffee on the way.
A productive day so far?
Well, it depends. It depends on your definition of productivity. Did you accomplish high-priority, needle-moving tasks, or did you simply check off busywork items?
Productivity is not doing more -- but productivity is doing more of the right things -
- the things that help lift you to where you want to be. In the context of work, that could be landing the next big account, discovering your true passion, finally launching that long-term project or impacting an individual. On a personal level, it could be serving your significant other, greatly helping a neighbor or becoming the healthiest you can be.
At the end of the day, checking your email and brushing your teeth are of course important (nobody wants rotted teeth). But, do those things allow you to accomplish what is most important to you, or what is top priority in your life?
Join us for the June Best Life Movement workshop to learn how to structure your day in a way that allows you to accomplish those needle-moving tasks – not just the things you have to do to survive.
Because “how we live our days is how we live our lives” – if we don’t work on our priorities consistently, the busywork will keep us from ever accomplishing them.
WHO IS FACILITATING THE WORKSHOP THIS MONTH?
This month, the Best Life Movement will hear from the Best Life Global Team. Marketing Director Kaylee Law will facilitate our discussion around productivity and accomplishing what matters, while peak performance coaches Brett Blair and Steve Arnold will guide our discussion with the science, proven-results, and strategies behind living a productive life that concerns what matters most.
Get to know the team -- here's why they do what they do:
- Brett: I want to help as many people as possible, with the time I have left on earth, to live their best lives.
- Steve: I want to help others grow personally, and also grow personally myself.
- Kaylee: I want to encourage others to steward all areas of life well, so we all have the capacity to love others vastly and give generously.
WHAT ARE THESE MONTHLY WORKSHOPS?
The second Wednesday of each month, The Best Life Movement invites you to join a complimentary live workshop and discussion about topics for best and purposeful living. Examining a different peak-performance subject each month, event attendees get to know other like-minded individuals and learn practical skills and strategies for peak performance. Together we learn how to succeed above standard norms in all of life, for the rest of life. Monthly workshops happen from 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Frontier in RTP.
